Courage Is My Strength, The Charity

The Courage Projects was developed to fill the needs of underinsured women facing breast cancer that are not met by other organizations. There are many wonderful breast cancer foundations that help thousands of women each year, but sometimes their funding falls short, and some women cannot qualify for those programs. There are hospitals that often have to find alternate resources to help women, and not all women’s needs are being met. There are also a tremendous number of women that are terrified of their future.

The Courage Projects encompasses Courage Is My Strength, Team Courage, our YouTube channel, and my Courage Blog.

Courage Is My Strength raises money to pay for mammograms for those underinsured women. We also have community events planned for 2011 bringing awareness and fundraising to communities to help relieve fear and build resources for women.

Our YouTube channel received over 100,000 views in the first six months and showcases videos educating women about mastectomy and reconstruction. 

Team Courage is our publicity outlet, an off road race team made up of experienced racers and breast cancer previvors, racing to make a difference against breast cancer. 

My blog follows the process a woman goes through when deciding to face mastectomy surgery, reconstruction, and what happens to life when you decide to live.

Every donation to Courage Is My Strength goes towards helping pay for mammograms for women that are facing their fears.
