    Hello Michelle,
I just watched your two video’s. You are an amazing woman. You are full of courage- this website definitely fits how you are going about controlling this part of your life. I go for my last expansion on March 1st. I feel the same way you do about the way they look, Mine are hard and the shape is about the same. Cannot wait to get the implants and not be so hard as they are at this time. I am hoping that your incision heals soon for you. Good luck in that. Wish we did not live so far away. we could start a support group. I just registered for the Susan G Komen 3 day walk in Seattle in September.. Now i am starting my training and fund raising. Good luck to you in your continued effort of fundraising for your cause. What an awesome one it is. There are so many women out there that do need the assistance.
    God Bless
    Jane

    Hi Michele,

Thank You, for the video’s and your courage to do what you are doing, I had DCIS removed, which left me with one breast pretty small, which they were not that big to begin with, I’m thinking of having a mastectomy, but I’m scared, you have cleared alot of things up for me, I can sleep better at night, thanks, I pray that what you are doing will be blessed

That you are willing to go on the web like this…I just love you. I’m getting yet more biopsies and am not sure yet what I’m facing. You’re bravery and openness are inspiring. Thank you.

Wonderful video. But I do not understand why you believe your implants will need to be smaller than your tissue expanders. It is entirely possible for you to have implants with greater volume than your TEs. I had Allergan Natrelle TEs with a volume of 400 ccs, overfilled to 425 ccs and my implants are Allergan Natrelle Style 20 – 550 cc’s. My implants are larger than were my TEs. You appear to have sufficient skin flaps for implants with a volume of at least 50 ccs to 75 ccs greater than the recommended volume of your TEs. I know many women who have exchanged out to implants with a volume sufficient to match the appearance of their tissue expanders prior to exchange.

Thank you Deborah! I’m just going by what my DR said about the implants. I never asked the potential volume of my expanders, but did get to about 425cc on each side. I did have a problem after this video, my incisions split open. So we didn’t want to push it too much. But he told me that once I have expanders, if I’m still unhappy with my size, some size can be added during the fat grafting stage. I had a lot of fun playing with the 600cc implants, but was firmly told “no”. I will be happy to just be where I was before. I was a 34C before surgery. We’ll see how it all works out. Thank you so much for watching, and commenting. How long ago did you have surgery? Are you doing ok?

    Hi,
I’m at the beginning. I had a lump removed that was not cancerous but I have a pretty heavy family history on both sides and they found a condition called atypical ductal hyperplasia. Because of all those things,my doctors are recommending genetic testing and if positive, then bilateral mastectomy. Your blog is a blessing for me. Thank you for doing it. I will keep you up to date on my decisions as I go.
