Photos from Race For A Cure

The Race For A Cure was great fun. I’m not a runner, so I walked the 5K and was happy when I crossed the finish line in under an hour. Heard lots of great stories, and the most frequent question I heard asked was “What is a previvor?”. Some women didn’t seem to like the idea of a woman chosing to have mastectomies before getting cancer, but I am still happy with my choice. I saw so many “In Memory Of” signs, I don’t want my name to ever be on one. It may not be understood, but I am proud to be a Previvor.

So here are my photos, I hope you don’t envy me too much because of the beautiful scenery! Aspen is a glorious place, it was a joy to attend an event there.

Thank you ladies all so much for letting me walk for you. You make this world a better place.

    Hi Michelle,
I cried when I saw this because it again all seemed so real. I hope you realize every moment how much of a difference you have made in my journey. When I was diagnosed, it was only after I saw your youtube video that I knew I had a chance to get through this. I am grateful that you were courageous enough to open up your journey with the world. Your continued efforts to help others show when it means to walk that walk.
