The Courage Project ~ Courage Is My StrengthThe day you find a lump in your breast your entire world changes. You might cry. You might be in disbelief. You might tell your loved ones, or might not tell anyone at all. You may book a doctor’s appointment right away, or you might shut down and block out the reality and pretend it’s happening to someone, anyone other than you. My name is Michele, and as I faced the high risk of breast cancer in my future I searched for information from a woman’s point a view. I had trouble finding the answers I needed, so I decided to start a website documenting my story to help other women facing decisions about their lives and their bodies. Courage has spread all over the world, creating a family of breast friends forever (BFFs), survivors, previvors, and loved ones all helping each other through their breast cancer story. You are not alone. This journey is terrifying. This journey can be amazing. And without a doubt, this journey will be life changing.
